Netflix has officially ordered a series adaptation of Icebreaker, the wildly popular romance novel by Hannah Grace that became a TikTok and BookTok phenomenon, the streaming giant confirmed on Monday.
The series will adapt the story of Anastasia Allen, a competitive figure skater, and Nathan Hawkins, a hockey team captain, who are forced to share a rink — and eventually much more — in what has become one of the best-selling romance novels of the decade.

The Icebreaker adaptation represents Netflix continued bet on the young adult romance genre. Hannah Grace novel has sold over 3 million copies worldwide and spent more than 50 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
